Evaluation of First Nations, Inuit and Metis Funded Projects
Background
As a non-Indigenous, pan-Canadian health organization, the Partnership recognizes its responsibility to engage in the ongoing process of reconciliation in all the work we do, grounded in partnership, respect and the recognition of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis rights, including health sovereignty and self-determination.
With guidance from First Nations, Inuit and Métis Advisors, the Partnership developed its commitment to reconciliation that guides the organization, including the implementation of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (the Strategy). The Strategy supports reconciliation and health transformation through the advancement of First Nations, Inuit and Métis -identified and led, Peoples-specific priorities and actions (Priorities 6, 7 and 8).
