The strength and resiliency of First Nations, Inuit and Métis have helped keep their community members safe and protected from COVID-19 while ensuring their health-care needs are being met. This section highlights some community and regional responses that have supported those most affected by the pandemic, as well as the challenges faced by First Nations, Inuit and Métis and also the systemic and avoidable health inequities that have been further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
