Media Monitoring

The Partnership is seeking Proposals from qualified proponents to provide a daily media summary through monitoring of English and French-language print and broadcast media, news releases, social media and Canadian health trade media for relevant content related to cancer topics and agreed-upon keywords. In addition, the proponent will provide weekly monitoring of political and policy developments to complement the daily media monitoring.

The Partnership’s daily media summary keeps Executive, staff and key partners informed of:

• Partnership programs or initiatives mentioned in the news
• Canadian and international cancer control news
• Other health news of interest
• Relevant health and policy announcements from federal and provincial governments, health associations and key partners

The weekly monitoring of political and policy developments keeps Executive, staff and key partners informed of:

• Major government events and announcements
• Election events and announcements
• Relevant legislation and debate, including committees
• Cancer related pan-Canadian policy changes, evolutions, trends and releases
• Changes in relevant political appointments, organizational leadership of key departments and organizations
